Holy Monday

Holy Monday is the Monday just before Easter. This day is also known as Great and Holy Monday. It is part of the Holy Week (Passion Week). This is the week that leads up to the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. #HolyMonday

Holy Monday is the Monday of Holy Week, the week leading up to Easter Sunday in the Christian calendar. It commemorates Jesus’ cleansing of the Temple in Jerusalem. It is observed with various religious services and traditions depending on the denomination, such as readings from the Bible, prayers, and reflections on the significance of Jesus’ actions.

It always is the Monday after Palm Sunday and just before Easter Sunday. Mostly celebrated in the Catholic faith and some protestant churches.

Holy Monday is the day on which Jesus cleansed the temple, was praised by local children, and cursed the fig tree (Matthew 21:12–22).
