Tonsillectomy Recovery Week 2

Day 13 – Wednesday

Tonsillectomy Recovery & Adenoidectomy Surgery

I actually slept through the night. I did wake a dry throat, but it was a mild discomfort when I awoke, unlike several days ago and all last week.

I noticed that my throat is not as swollen. My scabs seem to be slowly disappearing. They are still there but not as big as before.

I did gain a few pounds. I think the Ensure and gummy multivitamin helped put weight back on from where I lost some last week.

I went to work today, being a graphic designer, I had to. It is deadline day, we go to print today.

My throat has been alright for the most part, not too sore, just a constant feeling of something in the back of my throat that won’t come up or get loose. It mostly feels scratchy, but at times it will hurt and feel sore, but nothing like it has been during recovery. I believe I an nearing the end of the recovery process.

I was even able to eat a soft taco with meat and cheese only today.
