Tonsillectomy Recovery Week 1

Day 7 – Thursday

Tonsillectomy Recovery & Adenoidectomy Recovery

(T&A Surgery)

It’s been one week since I had my tonsils and adenoids removed. I am suppose to return to both jobs on Monday. Not sure how well that will go.

Today has been an alright day. Just feeling weak and hungry for real food. Today, I seem to keep a nasty taste in my mouth, maybe the scabs are coming off. My throat is still scratchy and sore. I’m still soft spoken and it’s hard to talk. With my ears and jaws hurting and such I also feel like my sinuses are full too like  I have bad drainage.

I checked my weight and I lost nearly 10 pounds. I’m sure I’ll gain some back when I can eat again regular meals. My ears do hurt too and my jaw. I heard it is normal to lose weight during this surgery due to the diet you are on.

I did notice I kept a film on my tongue, you might notice that on my pictures, as that might have been just after I recently ate something.
