Tonsillectomy Recovery Week 2

Day 9 – Saturday

Tonsillectomy Recovery & Adenoidectomy Surgery

Now that I’ve been able to sleep for more than two hours, I could feel it for sure. The pain would spike a lot.

Sleep is still not your friend, yes you rest but seems I’m up more than not. For me I did do blogging, like work on this post off and on. I mostly rested.

I believe long amount of sleep will dry your mouth even with me using a special CPAP that gives you moisture, it didn’t help. My CPAP is at 81° and humidity level 4.
I still feel weak feeling. I even have low energy.

Still find it harder to eat and drink a lot. I’m majorly craving real food. I do know this temporary pain will be well worth the long-term benefits. But, man the pain. Just saying.

I went to the store to get Ensure and Gummie vitamins. I’m sure with this diet I’m missing vitamins and nutrients needed. Something I should have got before hand.

I also got small can chicken and seems I can eat it ok better than eggs and mashed potatoes I guess cause not hot and does not stick. Canned chicken is not cold nor hit, it’s room temp 🙂 I did eat it at tiny bites and when throat wasn’t as bad. I also sprayed my throat with throat spay before hand.

This made my day and perked me up. My cat, Lilly Bug, didn’t notice until I was almost done eating a can, but my second can she did.

I notice my energy level increased some since I had the Gummie vitamins, I got Men’s kind. Plus the Ensure shake. I do wished I got these sooner.
