Lord Hear our Cry – National Day of Prayer 2015

The 65th Annual National Day of Prayer. It is always held the first Thursday of May each year. In 2015 that will be May 7, 2015. It is observed in the United States of America.

A day set aside for the Nation to Pray. We shouldn’t just set one day aside for prayer but we should be praying every day, every moment. as 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says pray without ceasing.

What is the mission of National Day of Prayer?

The mission of the National Day of Prayer Task Force is to mobilize prayer in America and to encourage personal repentance and righteousness in the culture.1

National Day of Prayer was started in 1952.

The theme and verse for 2015 is …

Theme: Lord, Hear Our Cry
Verse:Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day.” 1 Kings 8:28d
