So why did Jase do this? Jase said he would shave his beard if they could raise $100,000 for children with cleft lip and palates. It has been seven years since he has had a shaved beard. He did this on Labor Day. This fund raising effort was to benefit, Mia Moo Foundation in honor of their daughter, Mia, who was born with a cleft palate.

He shaved his beard and then revealed his new look to his family. Plus, it was record on social media, see the Facebook video below. Everyone was stunned, including his wife. I didn’t recognize him seeing his picture of him without a beard (see picture below). The Ducky Dynasty men are known for their beards, it is their trademark you can say.

In 2014, Jase and his wife Missy started the Mia Moo Foundation. In addition to starting the fundraiser, Jase and Missy are paying all the administration costs themselves meaning 100% of the donations go to children. Summer of 2017, the couple announced they were launching a fundraising campaign, #ShaveJase, in which the Duck Dynasty star vowed to shave his famous beard if they were able to raise $100,000.
