When I use BibleGateway, and search for “But God” in quotes, I get 46 verses in the King James Version (KJV). There was 44 in the New American Standard Bible (NASB). If you don’t use the quotes, you will get verses that have “But” and “God” in them but not together.

Good news is most off to follow after those set of words. Usually when you see it used, it is contrasting something else.
