The day was started by Aspies for Freedom in 2005, but is now celebrated by a wide amount of groups in the autistic community.

I like the pin image, shown in this blog post.

This day is held annually on June 18.

The days’ symbol is the rainbow infinity symbol, which represents “diversity with infinite variations and infinite possibilities.” However, you do hear a lot about a puzzle piece being the symbol for autism too.
