Ask acronym. Making an acronym for three different ways we can talk to God. Ask, Seek, Knock. Plus, I got over each one of these words using Matthew 7.
Ask Acronym – Ask, Seek, Knock
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 7:7-9
Ask
For everyone who asks receives because if we ask and it will be given to us. Prayer is constant communication with God. God already knows what we want before we ask. But, He still wants us to come to Him. Sometimes we don’t get because it is not part of God’s will.
Seek
The one who seeks finds because if we seek and we will find. When we pray to God, we must seek His will. We must first seek ye the Kingdom of God and his Righteousness. (Matthew 6:33). We must seek Him and Him alone! That means putting Him first!
Knock
To the one who knocks, the door will be opened because if we knock and the door will be opened to us. God always closes and opens door of us based on His Will and the need He sees in our life. If the door won’t open, that simply means that God is keeping it shut for a reason. When we knock, we must knock on the door that is according to His will and not our own.
