More Giant Cross to go up throughout East Tennessee including LaFollette and Morristown. If you have been to East Tennessee, I am sure you have seen some of these giant cross. They can be as big as 120 feet tall. They are generally near a church and cost $30,000 or more to build. Funds are donated usually by nearby church members.
There has been attempts to build these throughout Knoxville and Knox County, but ordinances and codes stand in James Potters way. Potter has been doing this for over 22 years.

Soon a 60 foot cross will be built in LaFollette, TN and Morristown, TN where Cornerstone Engineering based out of Maryville, TN will help turn his sketches into blueprints.
Potter recently was diagnosed with cancer and he would like to see them in every state. However, his biggest wish is to have the crosses through Knoxville and Knox County.
One area will be an area near Temple Baptist Church in Powell, TN. However, the city ordinance will only allow a 50 foot tall cross. He plans to challenge them on it to get it to at least 60 feet tall.

The Knoxville area is similar with ordinances, with only allowing the crosses to be around 30 feet tall. He has been challenging the city and county for years to get them to change those ordinances. He hopes to have the City of Knoxville allow the cross to be at least 60 feet tall.
If these are done similar there is one that has been up in Royal Blue, TN (Caryville, TN). Ironically it is near an adult store. That giant cross stands around 100 foot tall.

I am looking for information about building a giant cross like those of James Potter.
We were supposed to travel to Israel on October 9th 2023. We chose a road to trip to the south instead. Driving on the highway, we passed several large crosses. During my night prayers that night, I asked our Lord what he wanted me to do for him? Those crosses immediately jumped in my head. I believe he wants one in Wisconsin.
