Adrenaline (Review & Trailer)

About Adrenaline

Adrenaline a faith-based movie, It’s not what you drive, it’s what drives you. This is my review of the movie and also the trailer. This is a 5 Dove Family Approved movie. This DVD is now available for purchase.

This movie has John Schneider, who played Bo Duke in the Dukes of Hazzard. It also stars Michael Rosander from The Ultimate Gift. Plus Gregory Alan Williams, started in various movies and tv shows like Bay Watch and Remember the Titans. This movie also stars many more.

Synopsis: A drag racer’s life is turned upside-down after a near fatal car crash, leaving him paraplegic. Joseph Jenkins (Michael Rosanger), thinks his life is over, but while in the hospital, he meets Elijah Salisbury (Gregory Alan Williams), who gives him a new perspective on life and helps get him back to living. When Joseph returns home, and an old friend of his father’s. Paul Sharpe (John Schneider) steps in and helps him back into a race car, and teaches him how to race all over again.

Even before I watched this movie, I had this Bible verses in my mind, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, where Paul talks about the race.

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

As well as in 2 Timothy 4:7

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

My Review of Adrenaline

Find out why I enjoyed this movie, some notes on the movie and even a warning about this movie.

The firm starts off with a drag race. It even shows a General Lee. It also starts off with drinking and a bar scene. I also noticed a bad word in the movie too. The movie does show a car wreck. This movie shows that in an instant it can all change. Your life and way you live it can flash before your eyes and our circumstances will be different.

You gotta get right or you gonna get left. Every man runs a race, every race has price. Some money, etc. Not all races in at the finish line. So what are you racing for? This can go back to 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, as shown above.

There was several great prayers in the movie too by Elijah (Gregory Alan Williams). The movie also talks about forgiveness.

This movie does use the “D” word a few times in it. I recommend that that this be watched by an older teens to adult. I do believe this movie would have done greater without the use of that word.

I even noticed a plug for Bojangles, in one of the scenes. I believe they have great food. I think Bojangles must be a sponsor, because I have seen plugs for them a couple of times in the movie.

If all you have is to live for the next rush, you are living like a car with no engine. It serves no purpose. A car without an engine doesn’t go to far. Just like a man without a purpose. With out God that thirst will never be satisfied just like a junkie always trying to get a fixed. This movie shows we all serve a purpose. What do you do with the time that you have? This movie gives you a new look at your purpose.

There is talk about God and allowing God to take control.

On the back of the Adrenaline car, a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda, is the Bible verse from Isaiah 40:31, which is my favorite Bible verse. Plus inside the car “The Racer’s Prayer”.

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

It’s not what you drive, It’s What drives you! Discover this drive in this movie, Adrenaline.

This movie kept me watching to watch. It kept my interested as I wanted to see what all goes on. I am not a race car fan, but I did enjoy this movie and recommend that you watch this movie with your older teenaged children.

My mom said, “John Schneider played a strong character in this movie.” She also said, “it would be worth seeing again.”

So what are you racing for?
