National Evangelism Day

National Evangelism Day. A day set aside to remind us of the importance of evangelizing and witnessing. Actually, we should be doing this on a daily basis all the time!

Gospel Tract Man - National Evangelism Day

National Evangelism Day

This day is held annually on Reformation Day and Halloween, October 31. Halloween makes a great time to witness. You have children coming to your door or your car trunk to get treats. This would be a great way to give them gospel tracts and a Gospel of John. We are called to Go and share the gospel to the world. What a great way to do it when people are out celebrating the darkness of Halloween.

How many Christians just sit there and hand out candy or other trinkets and not hand out a Bible, Gospel Tract or even a Gospel of John?

October 31, Halloween is also known as National Evangelism Day. #EvangelismDay Click To Tweet

This is a day when people come to you. Take advantage of it. Most of us don’t want to go to the people. Yet, when the people come to us, they don’t want to do it then either. Sad to say, that today Christians are afraid or ashamed to share the gospel with people.

[pullquote]Never underestimate the power of gospel tracts![/pullquote]

Just like you, everyone else is never promised tomorrow. Tomorrow or even the next moment could be our last or their last. Both you and them will have to answer to God! Did you do your part? Remember, everyone you could have witnessed, we will have to be held accountable to God when we didn’t witness!

On October 31, I encourage you to hand out gospel tracts to the people that trick or treat at your home or business. Plus, you can do it when your church does Trunk or Treats! Plus, you can get free gospel tracts. I have a compiled list of sites that give free gospel tracts!

Knowing Christ Today by Dallas Willard — Willard’s work confronts a critical issue in modern Christian thought: the separation of Jesus’ teachings from what is considered genuine knowledge. He argues that this division has led to a catastrophic misunderstanding of what it means to know Christ and live according to His teachings. The book’s aim is to reestablish the core teachings of Christianity—often referred to as “Mere” Christianity—as a substantial and recognized form of knowledge¹[1].
