International Bagpipe Day
Held annually on March 10 since 2012
Created through the Bagpipe Society. On this day you are invited to go out and play your pipes – anywhere, anyhow to anyone! According to their website.
This day is just a week before St. Patrick’s Day!
I enjoy hearing the bagpipes play. They have a Scots-Irish Festival in Dandridge, TN each year. This year, it will be held September 26, 2020.
However, there is one sad song you usually hear played via the bagpipes and that is at a funeral and that is Amazing Grace.
