Celebrating 30 Years Since Steve’s Graduation from Fulton High School
Fulton High School, Steve’s Alma Mater, established in 1951, has been a cornerstone of education in North Knoxville³. It was Knoxville’s first comprehensive high school, offering both academic and vocational curricula⁴. This dual focus on traditional learning and practical skills provided Steve with the perfect springboard into the world of graphic design.
During his time at Fulton, Steve was an active participant in the school’s vocational programs, which were designed to equip students with real-world skills. The hands-on experience he gained in these classes was invaluable, laying the groundwork for his future success.
Now, three decades later, Steve is a testament to the enduring legacy of Fulton High School’s commitment to vocational excellence. His designs have graced numerous campaigns, and his work has been instrumental in shaping the visual identities of several prominent brands.
As we celebrate Steve’s 30-year graduation anniversary, (May 26, 1995 – May 27, 2025), we also celebrate Fulton High School’s lasting influence. The school’s motto, “Enter to learn; go forth to serve,” continues to resonate with alumni like Steve, who have taken the lessons learned within its walls and used them to make their mark on the world⁴.
