Exalt the Lord Who has Established Us

Exalt the Lord Who has Established Us – National Day of Prayer – The annual National Day of Prayer is an occasion for all Americans to gather and call out to God on behalf of our country. Our nation cannot ignore God’s sovereignty and goodness throughout history—His plans and ways are worthy of our praise and prayers.

Exalt the Lord Who has Established Us

For generations, Americans have turned to Almighty God to be our hope through trials and our joy in celebrations. It has been over 70 years since leaders estab- lished a public law to reflect our continual dependence on God through prayer, and each passing year brings another opportunity to praise our Creator and pray for our country.

Exalt the Lord Who has Established Us - National Day of Prayer - The annual National Day of Prayer is an occasion for all Americans to gather and call out to God on behalf of our country. Our nation cannot ignore God’s sovereignty and goodness throughout history—His plans and ways are worthy of our praise and prayers.

The 2022 theme stands as an invitation and call to worship: “Exalt the Lord Who has Established Us” having been inspired from the truth of Scripture found in our theme verse, Colossians 2:6-7 NASB “Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.”

“Our praise of His unchanging attributes and remembrance of His blessings has helped Americans remain steadfast in faith even through the most challenging of times,” said National Day of Prayer Task Force Presi- dent, Kathy Branzell. “Therefore, it is of the utmost importance that we do not waver today in this practice of praise and expressions of faith, love, and thanks as we unite in prayer across America on this National Day of Prayer.”

These expressions of thanksgiving will be carried out in all 50 states and several U.S. territories through tens of thousands of local prayer gatherings on the National Day of Prayer, Thursday May 5th. The annual national broadcast, produced this year in collaboration with Pray.com and The Museum of the Bible, will air on televi- sion and radio, and will be streamed through social media at 8 pm ET.
