National Puppy Day

National Puppy Day – Man’s best friend in baby form … a puppy. Yes even puppies have their own holiday too. #NationalPuppyDay

National Puppy Day

Here is a day for you dog and puppy lovers. I have to admit, I am not a big dog or puppy person. I was tested and told I am allergic to dogs. But, I blog about cats all the time, since I am a cat person, so I figured I would share this holiday with you my readers because I am sure some of you own dogs or are a dog lover.

If you don’t have a dog, maybe you can go adopt one!

[pullquote]Puppies are the most trusting and joyous creatures on the planet. Oh, to be more like a puppy. ~Colleen Paige, founder of National Puppy Day[/pullquote]

National Puppy Day was started by Colleen Paige in 2006. This holiday is held annually on March 23 unless it is on a weekend. Paige is a Pet Lifestyle Expert, Animal Behaviorist and Author.

This holiday is held annually on March 23 unless it is on a weekend in which it will be held on the Friday or Monday closest to March 23rd if that day falls on a weekend.

Did you know March 23 is also Cuddly Kitten Day.
