Dangerous Prayers is a book written by Craig Groeschel, a pastor and author who leads one of the largest churches in America. The book is a powerful call to action for Christians to step out of their comfort zones and pray bold, audacious prayers that have the potential to change lives and transform communities. #DangerousPrayers

My wife and I listened to the audiobook (using the Libby App) during our commute to work together. There is a bonus audio on it too! I liked how Groeschel did do the audio on it. I have also did the YouVersion Bible plan for this too!

In Dangerous Prayers, Groeschel encourages readers to pray three specific prayers that he believes have the power to change everything. These prayers are not for the faint of heart, but for those who are willing to trust in God’s power and sovereignty.

The book is divided into three sections, each focusing on a different “dangerous prayer.” The first prayer is “Search Me,” which asks God to reveal our sin and weaknesses so that we can repent and grow in our faith. Groeschel acknowledges that this can be a scary prayer to pray, as it requires us to confront the parts of ourselves that we’d rather keep hidden. But he also believes that it’s a necessary prayer if we want to become more like Christ.

Throughout the book, Groeschel uses personal anecdotes and biblical examples to illustrate the power of these dangerous prayers. He emphasizes that praying these prayers is not a guarantee of an easy life or instant success, but rather a commitment to living a life that is fully surrendered to God’s will.

The first prayer Groeschel encourages readers to pray is the “Search Me” prayer. This prayer asks God to reveal any sin or areas of our lives that are not aligned with His will. It requires humility and a willingness to be vulnerable before God, but Groeschel argues that it is essential for spiritual growth and intimacy with God.

The second prayer is the “Break Me” prayer. This prayer asks God to break us of our pride and self-reliance, and to humble us before Him. It is a difficult prayer to pray, as it requires us to surrender control of our lives to God and trust in His plan, even when it may not make sense to us.

The third and final prayer is the “Send Me” prayer. This prayer asks God to use us to do His work in the world, to be His hands and feet and to make a difference in the lives of those around us. It is a prayer that requires courage and a willingness to step out of our comfort zones and into the unknown, trusting that God will equip us for the task.

Overall, Dangerous Prayers is a challenging and inspiring book that encourages readers to deepen their faith and trust in God. It’s a reminder that prayer is not just a ritual or a duty, but a powerful tool that can transform our lives and the world around us. Whether you’re a seasoned Christian or just starting to explore your faith, this book will give you a fresh perspective on prayer and the incredible potential it holds.

I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook of this book. You will too! It does give a lot to think about.
