I made a coupon box. I found how to make this off Pintrest.
Coupon Box Supplies
- Locking Lid Rubber Maid
- Hanging File Folders*
- Binder Clips
- Ink Pen
- Value Cards
- Pocket sized spiral notebook (you can use to make shopping list or notes)
*You can substitute Hanging File Folders for Vanilla File Folders or Card Stock. You may also go totally Green with it and make it out of the back of Cardboard boxes from cereals or dry food boxes. I made my folded to use as a folder. You could also use small envelopes and use them as pockets.
Below is a picture of my coupon box. I believe I am going to make one as a recipe box too. Make it very similar. I cut the hanging file folders so that they can accommodate a tab at the top to label that folder when folded to make a pocket like or a small folder.
In the cup I have my value cards, binder clips, ink pen, scissors and my calculator can go there.
I have some categories I have used. I looked up several sites to get some categories listed. You can go from this, create your own, take away from mine, you can also make sub-categories too if you so wish. It could all depend on how much of a coupon user you are. I have not all that big, but I hope this can help motivate me to do more, so I can save more too.
Categories for Coupons
- Air Fresheners
- Baby (I won’t use, but have I can hand to someone in store)
- Canned Foods
- Dry Food
- Eye Care
- Female/Feminine Products
- First Aid
- Oral Care
- Pest Control
- Storage Containers/Bags
- Store (this would be Store Specific)
I am sure there can be many more. Do you have a category that I don’t have? Please share with me as a comment what you have that is not used on mine or mentioned. Also below is a link to send coupons to our Troops overseas. They can accept expired coupons.

I enjoy listening to nothing but Christian Music. Camping and hiking is something that I enjoy. I guess that is because I am an Eagle Scout. Blogging is something I enjoy doing too. I have been blogging since 2004. However, I have been blogging on Courageous Christian Father since 2012. I am married with 1 daughter and 2 step-sons and a step daughter.
