“Each day since the diagnosis God has given me promises and encouragement from His Word,” Lotz said. “God has been … and is … my refuge and strength, an ever-present help in this trouble. Therefore, I will not fear,” she said, quoting Psalm 46:1. “But He also has made it very clear that my healing will be in answer to not just my prayer, but the prayers of others for me.”
“Would you pray for me?” she asked. “Pray for God to heal me in whichever way He deems would bring Him the most glory. Healing without surgery, with surgery, with surgery and follow-up treatment, or through the greater miracle of the resurrection.”
Lots is the founder of AnGel Ministries.
AnGeL Ministries is an independent, non-profit organization based in Raleigh, North Carolina and is committed to giving out messages of Biblical exposition so that God’s Word is personal and relevant to ordinary people. The ministry’s name is derived from the initials of Anne Graham Lotz (AGL) and is especially fitting as angels are messengers of God who go wherever He sends, speak to whomever He directs, and faithfully deliver His Word. AnGeL Ministries serves as the umbrella organization for the diverse ministry of Anne Graham Lotz – including her many books, DVDs, CDs, and speaking engagements as well as special events such as Just Give Me Jesus.
September 18, 2018 is when Lotz has her surgery scheduled at the North Carolina Cancer Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. She was diagnosed on the three year anniversary of the passing of her husband, Daniel Milton Lotz (August 17).
“When I realized the strange ‘coincidence’ of the timing, I came to the chilling conclusion that it was an assignment from the enemy,” she said. “But just as that thought was forming, I heard the soft, gentle whisper of the Spirit, reminding me that it was on a Friday, during that very same time … between 3:00 and 3:30 in the afternoon … that God’s Passover Lamb was sacrificed.”
The late Billy Graham even described his daughter as “the best preacher in the family. At 70, she speaks internationally and is a best-selling, award-winning author of several books.” Even The New York Times named Anne one of the five most influential evangelists of her generation.
So lets keep her and the family in prayers during this time. Let us not also forget the many other people with Breast Cancer and other forms of Cancer too.
