Mr. Spuds

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God

On my way home from work, on August 10, 2015, I was trying to decide where to go eat dinner. I was driving down the road, and was like there is that new place that just opened up. I pull in and peek and decided I would give it a try.

I went into Mr. Spuds. I noticed it was a small little joint. After I got there and went inside, I noticed the chalk board. I almost didn’t hear them ask if I was eating in or out.

The part of the chalk board that stood out to me was where I saw God. I was trying to read it as they asked if I was for here or to go. So I told them it was for here. Followed the hostess that directed me to my seat, set down my eyes and walked back over to get a picture.

This is what the chalk board reads, it has a Bible verse on it. The Bible Verse is under the Home of the Patriots (our local high school, the county only has one high school!) The Bible verse written on the chalkboard reads …

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinth 10:31

I sat back down in my seat and looked over the menu. The menu seemed to have reasonable priced menu items. I decided on the Catfish. I got fried potatoes and onions and also fries with it. They asked if I wanted one or two fillets. I said two. I was thinking they would be the small ones. No these are huge! I barely could eat the whole meal. I did enjoy the meal very much. It was very yummy and very feeling.

My waitress was very friendly. Very attentive. I got to ask her a few questions. She answered them for me. Mr. Spuds is a Christian Family Owned Restaurant.  They also play Christian Music via iHeart radio, but the internet or connection was down when I was there.

They use to be closed on Sunday. Sadly I now see they are open on Sunday.

They have chicken tenders, steaks, baked potatoes and much more. I believe something for even the picky eater, like me.

I wrote this review on my own free will. I paid for my own meal. I just felt led since they were a Christian business to do a review for them. Plus, they just recently opened August 4, 2015 in the location in Jefferson City, TN.

I went back and visited again on August 31, 2015. I took my daughter. She loved it. They even had “Son of God” playing. My daughter and I got great service again! I loved the sweet tea, it was my kind of sweet and I like mine sweet. I got the blacken chicken with mashed potatoes and the potatoes and onions. It was very delicious. So far I have two favorite dishes. I plan to go back to try more!My daughter got the Steak Hamburger. She loved it! She also got onion rings. She said they were okay.

I found out that they make all the food and sauces homemade. Even the chicken tenders are homemade according to the waiter I had this time.

UPDATE September 9, 2016: Mr. Spuds has closed!
