Change Your Clock Change Your Batteries Safety Tip

Change Your Clock Change Your Batteries Safety Tip – With time change … comes Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery.

Change Your Clocks Change your Batteries - Change Your Clock Change Your Battery

Change Your Clock Change your Battery

When we set our clocks we spring ahead an hour in Spring and fall fall back an hour in fall. When we go to do the time change, we should  also change the batteries in our smoke detectors and other safety equipment. The old saying is … “Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery.”

As you guessed it, this was done by both Energizer battery and the fire department. Of course you don’t have to buy an Energizer battery! You can buy the battery of your liking. I do know that most generic batteries don’t last long.

Energizer® has partnered with the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) to keep families safe through the Change Your Clock Change Your Battery® program. Energizer® and the IAFC work to remind people of the simple, life-saving habit of changing and testing the batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors when setting the clocks back for daylight-saving time.1

Yes I know most of us now have atomic clocks or our smart phones, tables, computers automatically change for us now. But there are still some that don’t. Plus, too if we don’t have any clocks to change, we should still change our batteries!

Another good thing to do while you are change your batteries in your safety equipment such as

  1. Smoke Dectors
  2. Carbon Deoxied (CO) Dectors
  3. Alarm Clocks
  4. Other Clocks
  5. Weather Radios
  6. Anything else that requires batteries for special safety equipment
