Chick-fil-A

Initially, Chick-fil-A didn’t specify the sauce in the affected Polynesian Sauce dipping cups, but later revealed it contained Sweet and Spicy Sriracha, which is the only dipping sauce on the menu containing both wheat and soy allergens, according to the restaurant’s website.

Both sauces are very close in color and could not be easily detected as a different sauce other than taste.

Chick-fil-A introduced its Polynesian sauce in 1984, alongside Honey Mustard and Barbeque sauces. Described as “a delicious sweet and sour sauce with a strong, tangy flavor” by Chick-fil-A, Polynesian Sauce is a popular option. However, it’s not the most requested choice among customers; that honor goes to Chick-Fil-A Sauce, which the company has disclosed as a blend of honey mustard, barbecue, and ranch.

Unless you’re like Frankie, the Struggle Meals, who keeps a packet drawer, you might not have any leftover and didn’t even know you were eating a different sauce. But if you do have any, you might want to throw it away unless you still OK with being another sauce.

If you have any questions, please call Chick-fil-A CARES at 1 (866)-232-2040.
