Daylight Savings Time Parody by the Holderness Family
I heard this played on K-Love. I had to share it with you. In the song, it reminds us to set our clocks ahead an hour or we will be late for church. The Holderness Family did this parody to a Green Day song.
Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead an hour.
Lyrics
Another reminder you’re gonna be upset
Time springs an hour forward and you can’t forget
SO go to bed, no SNL and no hot date
You’ll be late for church
and your kids buttons won’t be straight.
It’s totally predictable but you never get it right
It’s daylight savings time tonight
An Alexa pause in the song
Daylight Savings Time Parody by the Holderness Family to the tune of a Green Day Song – A reminder to set your clocks ahead an hour! #daylightsavings #daylightsaving #springforward #parody #timechange Click To TweetYou’re in a giant fog, you don’t know where you are
You don’t know how to change the clock that’s in your car
Instead of pushing that tiny button once
Add an hour in your head for the next eight months
It shouldn’t be that big a deal
but it wrecks your whole life
It’s daylight savings time tonight
A pause in the song where mom and child talk about the time
Your kids will be cranking the whole next week of school.
You must adjust the schedule of when you go poo
You’ll miss a meeting cause your oven clock is wrong.
I can’t believe we just made this into a song
At least it isn’t dark at four, that sucks amirtie? (Am I right)
It’s daylight savings time tonight
A pause in the song dad plays the recorder
Family talks at the end
About the Holderness Family
The Holderness Family creates original music, parodies, and Vlogs for YouTube to poke fun of themselves and celebrate the absurdity in circumstances most families face in their day to day life. They published “Christmas Jammies” in December 2013 and life hasn’t been the same. Since then, their popular parodies, “All About That Baste”, “Baby Got Class,” and original music “Snow Day” have received national news coverage. Penn, the Dad, took a chance and left his job as a news anchor to join his wife Kim, the Mom, at their video production and digital marketing company, Greenroom Communications, LLC. Lola and Penn Charles are always happy, respectful and eat all of their vegetables (that last sentence is a lie). Penn, Kim, Lola, and Penn Charles publish Vlogs and other nonsense to this channel as often as they can while remaining sane.
