Have you heard the latest news about a hotel chain in England removing Bibles form their hotels?
Travelodge, one of that Nations largest hotel chains decided to remove the Bibles because they claim diversity. According to Fox News, the choice was made back in 2007, but they just now decided to act in 2014?
The company now says you have to ask for the Bible at the front desk, instead of the Bible already being in the room. Travelodge is the first hotel chain to go and remove all of their Bibles.
Did you know that Bibles started going into hotels around 126 years ago by the Commercial Travellers’ Christian Association. Currently the Gideon’s International, places Bibles in hotels around the world (over 190 countries). According to the Gideon’s Website they just opened the door to their 198th Country, Cook Islands.
It is said the Church of England is not happy with this. This is what the Church of England had to say.
“[It is] both tragic and bizarre that hotels would remove the word of God for the sake of ergonomic design, economic incentive or a spurious definition of the word ‘diversity.’ ”
We need to pray for our nation, I can see other hotel chains following suit in this matter. Our Nation, America, has already taken them out of schools, court houses, etc. What’s next? We as Christians need to stand up for rights, our rights as Christians are being taken away and no one is standing up to the ones taken our rights away.
We also need to pray for other Nations too that this doesn’t happen worldwide!
If you are reading this message and you don’t wish to have the Bible in your room, I don’t know why, but you can always request the Bible be removed from your room prior to your arrival.
If I owned a business, I would be more afraid of not listening to God, than to listen to man. I would be more worried about offending God than man.
