Armed Forces Day – a day to honor our men and women serving in the military. #ArmedForcesDay
I would like to thank all the men and women who are currently serving, those who has served and to those who plan to enlist and serve in the armed forces.
To all of those in the
- Air Force
- Coast Guard
- Marine Corps
Each of these branches are part of the U.S. Department of Defense and each branch that was listed had their own day and they joined all of them together to form one day. This includes the National Guard and Reserve units.
Armed Forces Day
Armed Forces Day is celebrated the third Saturday in May of each year. The first Armed Forces Day was celebrated May 20, 1950. This day is very similar to Veterans Day.
In 2019, this day is May 18.
Not only would I like to say thank you for your service to our country, but I want to pray God will watch over you and protect you and your family while you serve our country. God Bless Our Armed Forces!
Make sure you show appreciation to your military
