Unclaimed Baggage

Unclaimed Baggage in Alabama is this week's Travel Thursday feature. If you ever lost your luggage when flying, it might have ended up in this store in Alabama that sells the items and baggage from airports that go unclaimed. #UnclaimedBaggage

Have all kinds of items unclaimed for sale. Even some items on display. It almost reminds me of a higher class thrift shop. To me at least. They have a huge, I mean huge amounts of women clothing. They even have tons of electronics like phones, tablets, computers, laptops, etc.

They are located in Scotosboro, AL and have been in business since 1970.

I did see a lot of new items and clothing. I checked out the second chance area where I scored me three nice dress shirts for $2 each.

The sell almost everything! Clothes, bags, jewelry, iPads, iPhones, cell phones, tables, cameras, wedding dresses, shoes, hats and much much more.

It is interesting to see what is left behind or lost at airports and doesn’t get claimed. The airport is suppose to try to see if they find a claim on these items. Then that is where this unique store gets them after that. They buy the unclaimed items from airports.

See some pictures below

They even have items on display of things left behind. Gas mask, model air planes, model ships, wedding gowns and much more. You never know what you will see or find there! Inventory changes constantly. Need items come in, other items get sold.

Oh yea, there are other stores near by the claim to do the same thing, but this is the original one! I didn’t go into any of the other ones adjacent to them.

Items will arrive by tractor trailer loads. They then sort through the items and clean them. They price them and tag them, etc. The clothes are even cleaned. They dry-clean them and launder them in their in-house facility. Which is the largest in Alabama.

Fine jewelry is cleaned and appraised as well. Not to fear as all electronics are tested and cleared of any personal data.

What is still usable but not sell able, they donate to their reclaimed for good purpose process. That is not suitable for retail or donation, is trashed. So you can know they won’t sell any junk!

I recommend you stop at this place. It is worth the look and see what kind of treasures you may find there. Who knows, you may find something that use to belong to you!

We didn’t get anything for this review. We purchased items we bought from this store with our own money.

Knowing Christ Today by Dallas Willard — Willard’s work confronts a critical issue in modern Christian thought: the separation of Jesus’ teachings from what is considered genuine knowledge. He argues that this division has led to a catastrophic misunderstanding of what it means to know Christ and live according to His teachings. The book’s aim is to reestablish the core teachings of Christianity—often referred to as “Mere” Christianity—as a substantial and recognized form of knowledge¹[1].
