New Tennessee license plates having to be replaced
They have halted the production of them for now, but if you already renewed your plate, you will more than like have to have it replaced.
These new plates began going out at the first of this year and it’s only February and now having to have those replaced again.
No word on when the updated non recalled plates will be issue. But, they need to test these plates before issuing new plates state wide. Thus goes for any state doing new license plates.
It has been been reported that as of February 11, around 50,000 of these new license plates have been issued. With nearly 5.5 million that were going to be issued by the end if this year.
Last year we got to vote for a new design and I guess they never tested them before letting us choose.
