Why must I love my enemy?

Why must I love my enemy? – Simple! We are commanded to love and do good to our enemy! #Love

Why must I love my enemy?

It can be summed up in love! We are called to love everyone, including our enemies, those who do wrong to us. If we only loved those that loved us, what kind of love is that? When we do good to those who do us wrong it is like putting hot coals on their head. Even the Bible says love covers a multitude of sins.

Not only is Love part of the Fruit of the Spirit, but it is the greatest commandment of all!

The dictionary says an enemy is a person who is actively opposed or hostile to someone or something.

Now we can hate sin and still love the sinner! We all are sinners after all!

So show love to everyone even those that mistreat you and do wrong to you. Do good to them that wrong you. So kindness!

A good movie to watch about this is The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry, a faith-based movie.

Check out Matthew 5:43-48; Luke 6:27-36
