Young Zacchaeus In School Comic

Young Zacchaeus ReverendFun
Copyright Bible Gateway. It also says to see Luke 19:1-10.

The caption says “Young Zacchaeus in School”. You see a teacher and 4 students. 3 of the students are in desk while one is in a sycamore tree, that would be the young Zacchaeus. This comic has a date of 11-28-2011, when it was first published.

In the Submerged Vacation Bible School we got to learn that Jesus Saw Zacchaeus. This was our first session lesson. Jesus Knows who I really am. I am going to point out a few things without going too much into the lesson. I really only wanted to share the comic but it has come to a full blog post. I feel God led me to share more than just the comic.

The Dive in question on page 6 of the student book it asked us, “Do you ever wonder if anybody knows the real you-not the one that has it all together on the outside, but the really you, the you that’s on the inside?”
Touch question eh?

There is only two people that know you and that is you and … GOD.

Below is the actual Bible verse for Luke 19:1-10 KJV where Jesus Saw Zacchaeus.

And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Do you remember the song we sang as a child?
Zaccheus was a wee, little man,
And a wee, little man was he.
He climbed up in a sycamore tree,
For the Lord he wanted to see.

And as the Savior came that way,
He looked up in the tree,

Spoken: And he said,”Zaccheus, you come down from there,”
For I’m going to your house today.
For I’m going to your house today.

Jesus sees people differently than people do. Jesus sees the heart, he knows us deep down. See Luke 16:15, shown below.

And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Facts about Zacchaeus

After Jesus saves we will have new desires and one of those is restitution, making right with those we done wrong. Zacchaeus done just that. Jesus saw Zacchaeus and Jesus knew Zacchaeus and Jesus Saved Zacchaeus.

I tried not to give too much about what was in the Student and Leader Books. But, I encourage you if you don’t have copy of them, to get you a copy and read the story there. The lesson also makes correlations with the ocean.
