I was texted a writing prompt, shown below.

It’s Writing Time Friday! Write a myth that explains why the sun rises and sets.

This prompt says to write a myth, but in this case I’m not doing to that. I’m gonna share the truth …

It all starts in the Beginning, usually like most stories do. God created the heavens and Earth. He actually created everything including you and I. He created for six days and rested on the seventh.

Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

Genesis 1:3-5

During that time he created night, the moon 🌙 and day, the sun ☀️. Thus creating the sun to set at night and the sun to rise in the morning.

You can read the creation story in Genesis.

red sun at night red sun the the morn

A smile spreads sunshine to others
