White Shirt Day

National White Shirt Day, also know as National White T-Shirt Day, is always observed on February 11th. This day pays honor to the men and women who participated in the strike at General Motors in 1937. This day is usually known or celebrated in Flint, MI and other GM City towns. GM is General Motors.

Bert Christenson, a member of UAW Local 598, initiated National White Shirt/White T-shirt Day on February  11, 1948.

2018, was the 70th Anniversary of this holiday.
