What man meant for evil, God has good to come out of it.

His brothers did terrible things to him, including selling him and telling their father he died. Jacob was put in prison and accused of other things too. But, he ended up being a big role in saving his own family and the nation from famine. So that evil that was done to him, ended up bring good.

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.

Genesis 50:20 NASB

Job

As we know Job lost everything! His family, friends, fortune, health and much more. But remember, Satan had to get permission to attack Job. Just the same with us, Satan needs permission. But, we must hold strong through the storm, like Job did. All that evil that was put on Job, it later turned to the good.

The Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil.”

Job 1:8

At the end God blessed Job and restored things to him. Evil things happened to Job and he stayed faithful. We must stay faithful too.

Others

There are plenty of others that could be featured. God used many people to turn evil into good. God will also do the same with us. He can and will use us to change the evil to good. We must allow God to use us.

The same with bad things that happen to us, good will come out of it. That includes wars, famines, sicknesses, pandemics and even the COVID-19. We might not be able to see at the moment or anytime soon, but one day we will.

God will see us through. Put your trust in Him. After Judgement Day, we will no longer have to worry about evil. Those in Heaven, will no longer see sickness, death, etc. That is best thing to look forward to as a Child of God.

Sadly the other destination is hell, where there will be torment. That is for those who never accepted Jesus Christ.

Conquering Evil With Good

Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

Leviticus 19:18

Below is a quote from Christopher Simon

Wise men and women of various faiths have told us that we should never return evil for evil, but should conquer evil with acts of kindness and goodness. The Dhammapada puts it this way: “Hatreds never cease through hatred in this world; through love alone they cease. This is an eternal law.” Saint Paul advises us in the twelfth chapter of Romans to “Never repay injury with injury” and then quotes the Proverb “If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.” (Proverbs 25:21-22) Saint Paul concludes his kindly advice by saying “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:21) The curious part of the quoted proverb is the notion that in being kind to someone who has harmed you, you will be “heaping burning coals on his head,” which sounds plainly vindictive. Without knowing what the exact meaning and implication of this phrase is, and scholars have suggested everything from inciting anger in your enemy to giving them coals to carry home for their own hearth, perhaps the best interpretation is that in doing so you will be remonstrating against your enemies’ evil and causing them to have remorse. They will indeed carry these hot coals home with them, but these coals will be their own conscience, reminding them they will always be burned by vengeance.

– Christopher Simon

This is one reason why as Christians, we must repay with good things to the evil things given us. God uses us to do the good to the evil that occurs. We also need to remember God will get the victory over evil and He will punish the evil ones.

What are some ways we can do good during evil?
