Way Making Savior – Jesus guides our paths. When we are lost he leaves the 99 behind to seek after us. He makes a way! I think Zach Williams said it great in his song, Chain Breaker.
Way Making Savior
God guides our path. (See The Lord Determines our steps) I like the song Amazing Grace. I was once lost but now I am found. When we go astray, He is the Great Shepherd. He will leave the 99 to look for the one lost. (See When Sheep Go Astray). As I share in those two about how God guides our steps and when we go astray (Isaiah 53:6). He will go after us and bring us back to the flock. That is between the two linked blog articles there. Make sure to check them out!
Like Prodigal Son
I also think a great picture of being lost and then found again, (making our way) is that of the Prodigal Son as found in Luke 15:11–32. A great story about forgiveness, restoration and being lost and then found again. God directed the prodigal son back to his father. God will always make away. We might not see the clear path, but God does! He has a plan and purpose for every step we take and everything that goes on in our lives. Sometimes the path is for us and/or others around us. No matter the path, the purpose was to further the Kingdom of God. Remember, What man means for evil, God has good to come out it!
Walking down the road we may see two sets of footprints and then we see just one. When we see one set of prints, we often think we are walking alone. I believe in reality, we are not the one walking, Jesus is the one walking. He is carrying us on His shoulders like the Great Shepherded He is. This reminds me of the Footprints in the Sand poem. God will always make a way for His Children! He will always provide!
If you feel lost
He’s a way maker
