U-Turn Sign

U-Turn Sign

I now want to talk about the U-Turn Sign. We mostly see the No U-Turn Sign, meaning we cannot make a legal U-Turn or turn around and go another direction. However with Christ when we fall into sin, He wants us to make a U-Turn. A U-Turn is a change of direction, a change of heart. Another word we often use is Repent. We as Christians when we know we done wrong, we must repent and make it right. See Acts 3:19, quote below.

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before.

Now sometimes we do reach a road that has a U-Turn. Most of the time it is the end of that road. Sometimes they have a turn around and other times, it just loops around to go back the other way, making a U-Turn.

Jeremiah 25:5, Ezekiel 18:30 even tells us to repent from our evil ways. There are plenty of other verses in the Bible the talk about Repentance. Check some of those out at BibleGateway.com.

The Holy Spirit was sent to be our guide to help alarm us when we do wrong. The Holy Spirit will help lead to to repentance, because He will make sure we know we done God wrong. I wrote a blog post, The Holy Spirit is like an Alarm System. Check it out!

Remember unconfessed sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2). It will lead us to believe God is not with us when He is. It will bring us to places we don’t want to go. It’s important to ask for forgiveness of those sins immediately. If you want to hear from God again, confess your sins. Repent! Also see James 5:16 & 1 John 1:9.

  1. You know Karma is not a Christian concept, right, Steve? There is
something in the bible about reaping what you sow, and I certainly hope
it’s true since I recently found out I’ve been the subject of a lifelong
anti-Christian brainwashing experiment that makes you impulsive among
other things. I’ve also apparently been framed for some of the worst
things a person can be accused of and have been the subject some kind of
vigilante “justice” network that declares individuals guilty and
punishes them without a trial. Coincidentally, many have thrown the
word, “Karma” in my face. I’ll tell ya something else that’s in the bible:
    “Vengeance is mine.”
