Turning Up the Volume

Turning Up the Volume – There are times we need to turn up the volume too. Speaking the Word of God Boldly! In my previous post, Turning Down the Music When Lost,I talked about turning down the noise to focus on God. This post is turning up the volume. I am not talking about turning up the volume of the World, but boldly speaking the Word of God against the opposition like Nehemiah. We must speak loud and proud over the world noise to be heard.

Turning Up the Volume

Shout of Victory!

One example we can use is the Walls of Jericho. Remember they walked around the walls quietly and on the last time they went around, they were to shout! When they did that the walls came down! That is one example of turning up the volume. We must turn up the volume at the right appointed time. Check out the Walls of Jericho.

Shout of Healing!

Even in Acts 4:20, “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” Here they were talking about the healing they just witnessed. They were taken into custody for proclaiming the healing of Jesus. However, they couldn’t find fault so they let them go too. When they returned to their own people they raised their voices in joy. Acts 4:24 So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord.”

Shout from Prison

Even in prison Paul and Silas were shouting songs and praises to God. Even an earthquake came and freed all those in the jail. That is when the jailer was about to commit suicide and Paul shouted out of the jailer that all of them are still accounted for. It caused that jailer to become saved and all his family too.

Shout to the Lord

Isaiah 24:15 shouts go out for the Lord and even Isaiah 52:8 shares about shouts of joy for the return of the Lord to Zion. Psalm 47:1 and Psalm 98:4 tells us to Shout to the Lord. Shout to the Lord is found throughout the Bible too. We need to show that God is number one! That you are thankful for all He does for you.  This type of shout doesn’t mean that God doesn’t hear us. God always hears us! God knows our thoughts, so that shows He can hear us. This shout is to share and express your love for God publicly.

There is a Time

So there is a time to turn down the noise and a time to turn it up. When we want to hear from God we need to turn down the world’s noise. When we want others to hear God, we must turn up the volume, so the Word of God can be heard over the world noise.
