To Kneel or to stand that is the question

To Kneel or to stand that is the question. Should we be required to stand or kneel during the National Anthem? Are we forcing people to do that and taking away their freedom?

To Kneel or to stand that is the question

I know this might be late getting out there in the blog land cyber space, but I finally got to writing this article. Not to mention, this might be a little controversial. I just wanted to share this with you.

To Kneel or to stand that is the question

I personally think we should stand to show respect to our nation. However we do have a freedom in this country to choose not to stand. Just like those football players choosing to kneel. Yes, they may be kneeling for other reasons. I am not saying I am for or against standing or kneeling. We live in a country that is based on freedom. All I will say is that I choose to stand over kneeling.

We are slowly trying to take freedom away from people. One of them, might be forcing people to stand for the National Anthem. People don’t like being forced to do things. Before we know it … America will no longer be a free country. We will be a dictator country that tells the people what they can and can’t do.

That same freedom protects those who are disrespectful and want to defy everything else. We cannot say it is okay for one way but not the other. The same applies to our freedom of religion.

We as Christians also got a look at the fact of kneeling or standing for the National Anthem is it something that goes against God‘s Word?Where in the Bible did it say to stand for the National Anthem? Well, it didn’t. However, I am Proud to be an American and I will stand for the National Anthem. I might not like the action of those who kneel, but they have a right too. Men and women fought to keep our freedom. A freedom to choose to stand or kneel.

The only kneeling I think should be done is when you kneel to God in prayer!

However, I will stand for the National Anthem and Kneel before God.
