The Trucker Salute is dying, Needs to come back – I remember going on the highway or interstate and you’d see a rig … you’d do a pull-down your fist as if you were doing a truck air horn in hopes to hear the trucker blow his or her horn.

Sadly that is less common today. I think we need to bring it back, as a way to say thank you to the many men and women who drive a truck to bring goods to stores.

Many truckers will tell you they don’t see many children doing this anymore. I say teach your kids this and they teach their kids this. Let’s bring this back to say thank you to our truckers!

On average a trucker can spend 10 or more hours on the road and often alone and away from their family, friends and loved ones.

Get off those devices!
Watch for trucks!

Doing this can help brighten up that trucker’s day and can bring joy to your child to hear the trucker respond with the air horn.

I do know that some towns, use of air horns and jake brakes, etc. But, nonetheless, let’s bring this back.
