The more broke you are the more light that gets through

The more broke you are the more light that gets through - which is true, a broken vessel will let in light.

I heard a song on Way-FM, called Glow in the Dark by Jason Gray. In that song, I heard the lyrics saying, “The more broke you are the more light that gets through.”

Don’t be ashamed of your past
If you’re shattered like a piece of glass
The more broke you are the more the light gets through
Show your wounds and your flaws
Show them why you still need the cross
Let them see the work He’s doing in you

Glow in the Dark by Jason Gray

That is so true, brokenness, cracks, flaws, etc., even in a vessel, can let in light. That shows us that God uses and fixes broken things. Did you know that some broken vessels, are filled with gold, that also made the piece more valuable. God does the same thing to us!

Because we are filled with God instead of Gold, we are made whole again. God uses that brokenness in our lives to help reach others like us. We are not alone in what we think we are alone in.

So, you can still see light in the broken! God is the only one who can restore that. Another part of the lyrics to Glow in the Dark by Jason Gray is … “That even in the darkest place, His love can make you radiate.”

Even a half watt bulb of light, can still shine in even in the darkest of places. So we are made to shine for the Lord, He will use any amount of light we shine to blot out the darkness of the world. So Glow in the Dark even if it is a half watt bulb. Be bold and not ashamed to shine!
