The Light at the End of the Tunnel – That might be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what that light is at the end of that tunnel.
This statement, is often used as a sigh of relief. See what the Oxford Dictionary says:
a long-awaited indication that a period of hardship or adversity is nearing an end.

We usually hear this statement as we going to the light. But, we rarely use this statement as if the light is coming to us, like an upcoming train in the tunnel. Tunnels were usually made just enough space for that which needed to pass through.
If we see the day light at the end of the tunnel, that means we are going to it. If we see the light approaching, that means it is coming to us. Are you going to the light? Is the light coming to you?
Even in a dark tunnel, that light no matter what the source, it will be seen. Light exposes! Even a 1 Watt Bulb can be seen in the dark. That oncoming train could be the train of exposure. To expose something in our life that we need to get rid of.
I was just thinking about this as I was going through the Cumberland Gap Tunnel to make this as a blog post.
