English Standard Version

The English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible is a widely-used translation that has gained popularity among Christians since its release in 2001. It is a revision of the Revised Standard Version (RSV) of the Bible, which itself was a revision of the American Standard Version (ASV) of 1901. The ESV was created to provide a more literal translation that was still easy to read and understand.
