Snowed in Detroit Greyhound Bus Terminal

Snowed in Detroit Greyhound Bus Terminal – Another random memory to share. I was heading home from Michigan to Tennessee. And I was at the Detroit Greyhound bus terminal. That is when they stopped all buses to Cincinnati, OH. Which would be my next stop. Are usually rode the express ones. The reason is due to weather it snowed bad in Cincinnati.

Usually you hear about places giving you food and shelter etc. No! Not them what they did is they turned all the vending machines around where you could not access them. That meant not buying any drinks or snacks.

Nor did they provide cots or anything like that. This was overnight too. I think it was about 14 hours later before we were able to board a bus and head south. If I remember, the heat was barely working.

They stopped the buses south because of a huge blizzard snow hitting the Cincinnati area. From Cincinnati it then would express to my home then of Knoxville, TN. As you can tell, I was late getting home and did not get the express bus home. It was the normal route of stopping everywhere on the way south.

This was late 1990s, early 2000s.

Reminds me of the Amish getting witnessed to on the Greyhound bus I was on one time.
