The Search for Medical Answers

Since July 2015, I’ve been in and out Doctors office several testing done and so the search for medical answers began. Below are some testing that recently have been done.

  • Tons Blood Test
  • MRI
  • Echcardiogram
  • Allergy Testing
  • Sleep Study

Odd thing I’m sure I have lived most of my whole life like this but just recently caught up to me.

I started to notice how I stayed fatigued a lot. I’d wake up like I never slept.

I have always had bad migraines since I was a teen. I have having a lot of them too.

I noticed on my fitbit surge that my heart rate seemed very high for over half the day. It was only low if I was sleeping. Even sitting it was high.

I then started to check my blood pressure and it has been up too. I’ve been pre-hypertension.

I even noticed I started to have a lack of energy.

My doctor ordered several blood test to test all kings of things. Just a few things they tested in my blood.

  • Sugar
  • Iron
  • B12
  • Liver
  • Diseases
  • Cholesterol
  • HIV
  • Etc.

My blood work came out good. My diabetes was one point over but nothing to worry about. My cholesterol levels were not that good but nothing to worry about either. So that ruled out things.

My doctor also ordered an MRI since my sister has multiple sclerosis (MS). Plus both my mom and I have an NF1. NF1 has also been called Von Recklinghausen’s disease, Von Recklinghausen. So the MRI ruled out no tumors in the brain and No MS.

Next up, I had an echocardiogram of my heart. It came back good. Did confirm a heart murmur, then I knew I had since I was a little kid. But it also showed that I had what’s called regurgitation of one of the valves. According to my family doctor she says this is normal.

So I go and see an ENT otherwise known as a ears, nose and throat doctor. There he test me for known allergies. Got to find out all the stuff I’m allergic to.

Meanwhile at the same time also got to get into a sleep study. The sleep study seem to shoe what’s wrong. They found out I have a form of sleep apnea. I stop breathing in my sleep. They said even with the CPAP I still stop breathing in my sleep but not as much.

So I tell my ENT and he looks at my nose again and he says this is probably the reason you stop breathing … Deviated septum him and by turbinates are in the way of my breathing passage. So he scheduled surgery to correct that issue which involves some drilling and probably straightening of my nasal cavity. I will have stents in my nose for 10 days.

This is what’s on the pre-admission order forms for my surgeries. Because it looks like it’s two surgeries. The admitting diagnosis is hypertrophy nasal turbinates in deviated septum. The operative consent form to read as follows: Septoplasty and submucous resection inferior turbinate.

He did tell me that my tonsils and adnoids are over enlarged.  That I may also have to have that done next. I’ve always heard a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy or harder on an adult then a child. I was supposed to have them removed when I was a child but they said they were more beneficial to keep them then.

I go November 20, 2015 to have the surgery performed. This will be my first surgery.

The good thing is I know God is with me every step of the way and He always will be. God has a plan and purpose for all that I’ve gone through same way as all that you’ve gone through. We just have to trust him and I know I’m in the best hands with Him.

Jesus is the cure that ales you. Jesus is the great physician. And I’m glad that he uses earthly physicians and surgeons to aide our health here on earth. Not to mention the power of prayer.

We may not get earthly healing but we will get a glorified new body in heaven.

I plan to keep you updated on the progress from the surgery so make sure you follow CourageousChristianFather.com.
