Take some time to backup your photos or scan your photos and save them digitally. Our physical photos are perishable. As we can see proof in older photos how they are falling apart and/or fading. They can even get damaged by flooding, fires, etc.
This day is celebrated the last Saturday in September. In 2019, that falls on September 28.

You can even find companies that will scan them for you and save them digitally.
You can also scan photos from your negatives (old style came out of film cameras) or even positives (like those slides you see on screen).
