Sausage Balls

I love sausage balls. My mom use to make them all the time more so around Christmas. So I want to share with you how I make my sausage balls. A very easy and simple recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 Package Ground Sausage (Hot or Mild)
  • 2/3 To 1 Cup Cup of Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Package of Shredded Cheese
  • Seasonings (optional)
  • 1-2 Spoonfuls of minced garlic (optional)

You can use Bisquick in leu of flour and baking soda. I have prefer to use the cheddar garlic Bisquick and it makes them taste better.

I prefer the Hot Sausage. But you can use Mild. I am sure you can even use the Sage Sausage too if you wish.

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°.
  • Take a mixing bowl and combine all the ingredients together.
  • Continue to knead by hand the ingredients together like you would bread dough.
  • Once you have combined all the ingredients roll them into balls.
  • Place those small balls on a lightly sprayed cookie sheet or line with parchment paper.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 15-25 minutes. (May take longer depending on the oven and size of the sausage ball.
  • Allow to cool and Enjoy! They are also good hot, just be careful eating one right out of the oven!

These are great to eat cold or even heated up. Reheat them for a few seconds in the microwave. These make good treats, finger foods, etc. Bring them to the Christmas Party at Church or with the family! They are very easy and simple to make. You can even make them as a family together. I do personally prefer hot, fresh out of the oven. But they are good reheated too.

If you can buy from your local farmer meat place, if not I prefer Swaggerty, they are local to me.

20th anniversary of the powerful film, “The Passion of the Christ.” In 2004, director Mel Gibson brought to the big screen a visceral and unflinching portrayal of the final hours of Jesus Christ. The film, aptly titled “The Passion of the Christ,” chronicles the agony, betrayal, arrest, torture, and crucifixion of Jesus. Here are some key points to reflect upon:
  • No Bones About It — Jesus is Alive!
The phrase ‘No Bones About It’ is often used as well to state a fact with no doubt meaning Christ arose from the dead His bones were never found! Jesus Christ is surely alive!
  • Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday)
Maundy Thursday we don’t hear about this day too much, especially as a Baptist. Holy Week, that starts on Palm Sunday, week before the resurrection of Christ. Maundy Thursday falls the day before Good Friday and Easter. This is just a short write up on this day. #MaundyThursday #HolyThursday
  • Searching for Christ
Why do we go searching for Christ as if He is lost and someone to be found. We have it wrong it’s the other way around, Christ is seeking us who is lost so we can be found!

Spy Wednesday or known as Holy Wednesday or even known as Great and Holy Wednesday. Sometimes known as Good Wednesday. This is the Wednesday that leads up to Easter. Part of Holy Week. #SpyWedneday #HolyWednesday #GoodWednesday
