The Roman Road to Salvation

The Roman Road to Salvation is a way of explaining the gospel message of salvation through a series of Bible verses from the book of Romans. The basic idea is to present the gospel message in a clear and concise way, using key verses from the book of Romans. #RomansRoadtoSalvation #ABCsofSalvation

This was taught when I was a kid on Vacation Bible School and Sunday School growing up. We called it both the Roman Road and the ABC’s of Salvation.

The Roman Road to Salvation is sometimes referred to as the ABC’s of salvation. The acronym “ABC” stands for:

A – Admit that you are a sinner and in need of salvation.

B – Believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

C – Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

The ABC’s of salvation provide a simple way to remember the essential steps that lead to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. It’s another way of presenting the same gospel message in a clear and concise manner.

The Romans Road consists of the following verses:

  1. Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

This verse highlights the fact that everyone is a sinner and has fallen short of God’s perfect standard.

  1. Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

This verse explains the consequence of sin, which is death, but also emphasizes the gift of eternal life that is available through faith in Jesus Christ.

  1. Romans 5:8 – “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

This verse emphasizes the love of God and how He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins even though we didn’t deserve it.

  1. Romans 10:9-10 – “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

This verse highlights the importance of confessing and believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and the promise of salvation that comes through faith in Him.

  1. Romans 10:13 – “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

This verse emphasizes the universal nature of salvation, and that anyone who calls on the name of Jesus Christ will be saved.

By sharing these verses with someone, a person can communicate the key elements of the gospel message in a clear and concise way, and help them understand the path to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
