I personally have noticed a lot of blue Halloween buckets at Walmart lately, along with a few other colors to choose from. So is it true that the blue pumpkin or blue Halloween candy bucket is associated with autism?

If you check Snopes says it’s not widely associated with autism, but it is partially false. But what is true, a mother, Omairis Taylor, told people on Facebook her autistic son will be carrying a blue pumpkin and urged others with autistic children to do the same.

That blog post has over 130,300 shares four days after Taylor posted the message.

This was because her son is non-verbal autism. That means he is not able to speak or even say Trick-or-Treat. To not worry if the child(ren) says Trick-or-Treat or not.

“I have made this post public in hopes you will share and get the BLUE BUCKET message out there for Autism Awareness this Halloween.”

Who knows, with this push, it could become something official.

We know teal pumpkin is for allergies, allowing people to know you give allergy-free non-food item. Like what I do in my Pirate Chest.
