Omnipresence

Omnipresence – God is everywhere in all places at one time. He is eternal in that being in all places too. #Omnipresence

Omnipresence

This weeks Theological Tuesday takes us to the word omnipresence.  We have heard there are three omni’s in theology. This is just one of the three.

Omnipresence

Omni-

The first part of the word is omni-. That part just simply means all, of all things, in all ways, in all places.

-Presence

The other part of the word is -presence meaning the state or fact of existing, occurring, or being present in a place or thing.

Combined

The presence of God everywhere at the same time. There is no where you can hide from God. Jonah found that out and he ended up in a stomach of a huge fish. Even Adam and Eve thought they could hide from God and couldn’t. We cannot run away from God nor can we hide from God. God is everywhere! That makes God unrestricted, meaning we cannot contain God by any means. So we can go to Him anytime and anywhere.

Together

God is also eternal in that being present in all places. He always existed and always will exist.

The Bible even stated Lo I will always be with you. (Matthew 28:20).

We may think God is not with us or near us. In our minds we may say God left us. God never leaves us. We are the ones to walk away from Him. We may often why we may see one set of foot prints int he sand. because He is the one that keeps the 99 together to search for that 1 lost sheep and/or He carries us in time of need too.

Psalm 139 is a great Psalm about us not being able to escape from God. No matter where we go He is there!

Yes, sin separates us from God. But, He is still there waiting for us to repent, turn away, a 180 and come back to Him.

I am glad to know that no matter where I go, God is always with me. He protects me! Provides for me and so much more!
