The Samaritan House is the old location of the homeless shelter for women and their child(ren).

Don’t worry! It was a controlled burn and part of a training for the Jefferson City Fire Department.

JCFD along with firefighters from New Market Fire conducted live fire training evolutions. Firefighters practiced hose line advancement, ladder work, fire attack, search/rescue and advancement up stairs. Once all evolutions we’re safely completed, the structure was allowed to burn. Thanks to New Market for participating and for the instructors and team leads who provided education, guidance and support to the students.

This special training was held Saturday, November 23, 2019.
