No Orange Clothes Day – a day that you cannot wear Orange colored clothes. Sorry Vol Fans. I didn’t make this holiday up, but find out what it is all about!

No Orange Clothes Day

No Orange Clothes Day commemorates the day in 1784 when the wearing of orange was banned in the Netherlands. That is because Orange is the color of the Dutch royal family.

So the color orange has some royalty to it. So this holiday doesn’t have anything to do with sports! Nor does it have anything to do with construction of wearing safety orange.

This day is held annually on June 16!
