These no-bake energy balls are kinda of similar to the no bake cookies my daughter loves to make.
No-Bake Energy Balls
Some people also call these No-Bake Energy bites. This recipe is very simple. It is as simple as drop and mix. You drop all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Then roll into balls. There are very yummy too! This recipe does have known allergens, like peanuts.
Ingredients
These are the ingredients that I used:
- Quick Oats
- Local Honey
- Chai Seeds
- Flax Seeds
- Dark Chocolate Chips
- Crunchy Peanut Butter
Directions
I just dumped them in a bowl, I didn’t measure anything out, but I would say 1 cup of everything but the oats, the oats I would do 2 cups or slightly more. Mine turned out gooey because I didn’t use as much oats.
On the quick oats, you put them in dry, do not cook or prepare them like you would for oatmeal.
Local Honey has a lot of beneficial factors too.
Notes
Of course you can take out either the Chai Seeds or Flax Seeds if you wish, but they help to give you the energy. They don’t really have a taste. Flax Seed and Chai Seeds are full of fiber and other beneficial factors. You can Google and find all the great usages of those items. These are new to me.
On the dark chocolate chips, you can substitute for any of the baking chips like vanilla, milk chocolate, peanut butter, butterscotch or any other baking chip flavor you wish.
On the peanut butter, you can use crunch or creamy. I use crunch to give it more texture. You can also make your own homemade peanut butter too.
You can also add coconut to this recipe too. I choose not to. I am not that big on coconut. I am sure you can other stuff like raisins, dried fruits, other kinds of nuts, etc.
Also, I recommend you chill these too, so they are firmer and not as gooey.
